Oh, Were We Ever Happy when my brother and I read this. It’s a funny children’s book about kids left at home alone. What do they do when the babysitter doesn’t show up? They try to be helpful. I have this book at home and have reread it many times. Like in Clementine, if you’re a parent of a kid who copies what other kids do, you don’t want your kids following the example of these characters, but still it’s a great children’s picture book. I like this book because of the humor. They don’t put too little in, but they don’t over do it either. And the watercolor illustrations are so beautiful!
